Liberation Day

Liberation Day, August 15

We celebrate the Victory over Japan Day today, ending World War II in the pacific in 1945, as well as the day that independent governments were set up in Korea three years later.

The flag is a great symbol of this anniversary, to remember those who suffered and fought for this day to be realized. But it is a symbol of happiness, after all, as today is “the day that light returned.”

Taegukgi Wallpaper

Add some taegukgi to your desktop or phone as a reminder to think about Liberation Day. We made a special taegukgi from a Joohee pattern. :-)
